Gary Burnand has been fixated by machines on two and four wheels, as long as he can remember. His father and grandfather had been highly mechanically proficient, and both had spent their youths on classic British bikes - Matchlesses and Nortons particularly. Growing up in Yorkshire and London, Gary was fascinated by sub-cultures: their music and fashions; and their machinery and accoutrements.
Gary then spent his career working with cult lifestyle brands like Levi’s, Barbour, Lee and Wrangler. He has married his style passion with hardware brands like Triumph, Indian Motorcycles, Land Rover, Porsche. It is befitting therefore, that after many years of involvement with Brough Superior and Mr Upham, Gary is now helping to shape the brand’s image and products beyond the Brough Superior motorcycles: the careful curation of clothing, footwear and luggage and so on.
